Hi! I'm Mike McConathy, Jr. I live here in Eustace, Texas with my wife Debbie, son Michael, daughter Jessica and daughter Jenny. I've been playin' "Real Country" music here in east Texas for many years. I had my first playin' job in 1982. I play what I call "Real Country" music ie. George Jones, Ray Price, Faron Young, Johnny Bush, Merle Haggard, George Strait, Alan Jackson, ect. I've had the oportunity over the years to open for such great acts as Gene Watson, Johnny Lee, Billy Joe Royal, T.Graham Brown, Johnny Bush, T.G. Sheppard, Janie Fricke and Eddy Raven. I've been fortunate enough to play on shows with Hank Thompson, Charley Walker, Leona Williams, Ron Williams, Ferlin Husky, Crystal Sands and Justin Trevenio. I was also the 2003 winner of the the John Rex Reeves Pickin' Party in Carthage, Texas. I've been blessed to play with many, many great musicians over the years, and won't mention any names because I know I'll leave someone out, but my real hero is Jesus Christ who gave his life to pay the price for my sins. I also play rhythm guitar on Sundays at First Baptist Church of Eustace. I truly hope you enjoy your stay here and will come back often. Be sure to tell all of your friends.
